Father in Laws and Lily Gardens

My father in law flew down last Sunday to visit and attend Jim’s graduation from Tech School. While he was here, he took care of the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen while Jim was in school and I was at work, which we never asked him to do. He just did it because he’s a very sweet guy, and I cannot express how thankful I was for that!

Saturday, Jim had a 5k run first thing in the morning, which his dad took him to. He ended up getting 25th place out of 60, which is still really good, and I’m very proud of him! He let me sleep in. After I woke up, we went to the theater on base and watched a pre-screening of The Meg. It was a really good movie, albeit a little slow starting (in my opinion). Jim had put WAY too much salt on the popcorn, unfortunately, so I ended up having to go back to concessions to get new popcorn. He thought that he could dump a bunch of it in and just shake the bag and it would mix, but I suppose he forgot that there was butter on the popcorn, and salt tends to stick on butter. After the movie, we had dinner and drinks at a local tavern. I had a delicious pink guava margarita with smoked salt on the rim (pictured below). Jim and I then went to the local mall to do a little shopping while my father in law stayed at the house to sleep off our big dinner. When we feed people, we feed them well!

Today, our last day with him, Jim and I decided to take him out to a big breakfast at Denny’s. Although crowded with churchgoers, it was delicious and worth the wait! Afterwards, we went to the international lily garden. It was so beautiful! All in all, today was an amazing day, and we all had a ton of fun!

A Short Introduction

This is more of a general diary, and if you happen to enjoy reading it, I’m glad it can be entertaining! I will update once a week on Sundays!

A little about me:

I am 21 years old (currently), married into the Air Force, and will be moving to Germany soon! I am getting ready to go to school as a Professional Medical Coder, and once I finish, I may go right back to school for Office Administration, to help get my foot in the door! I am ADHD, I love to bake, and I currently work at Base Exchange at our current base assignment. Name’s of people will be changed for security and privacy reasons, so I will refer to my husband as Jim. I also will not be posting locations any more specific than country or state if we are living in the states, again, for security reasons. Please do not ask me to disclose this information!

Jim and I have been married for only a few short months (May 30th, 2018!), but we have lived together for 4 years prior to marriage. He’s a doofus, and I’m a weirdo, so we make a great team!

I think that’s all I’ll write for now, but I look forward to my first (real) post this Sunday! I’ve already started writing it 🙂
